 * Please note: Older webinar recordings worth Resource Development credit will not have learning checkpoints, in order to claim credit for these recordings you will just need to watch the recording in full and the claim credit box will unlock.

How do I know how long a Community of Practice webinar is?

The amount of credit that an activity is worth relates to how much credit it is worth. The Community of Practice activities are either 60 or 90 minutes in length. Activities worth 1 CCE unit are 60 minutes in length and activities worth 1.5 CCE units are 90 minutes in length.

If you received an attendance code during a live webinar you will either enter that attendance code or select it from a multiple-choice list to claim credit. The directions at the top of the activity page will tell you whether the live activity had an attendance code or not.

I have not received my CCE certificate via email. When will I receive my certificate?

We no longer send certificates via email. All credits claimed through the Learning Portal can be found on the Learning Portal user transcript once you have successfully launched the Claim Credit box and completed the steps that follow.

Can I still earn CCE credits for a CP activity if I watch the recording instead of attending live?

Yes. All CP activities from 2019 forward are worth the same credit type and amount by watching the recording as they are worth if you attend live. You will have to watch the recording and complete a short learning checkpoint in order to claim credit.

I watched a Community of Practice recording without a learning checkpoint and the claim credit box will not unlock, what do I do?

You must watch the entire recording for the claim credit box to unlock. Occasionally, the system may not read that you watched the full recording if the internet connection is poor, if the recording is stopped and restarted many times, or if there are too many other internet tabs open. You can watch the recording again, or you can mark that activity on the self-study portion of your credential application without providing documentation. Please note, this only works for Resource Development credit.

Can I earn the required CCE units in Ethics for my renewal on the ICF Learning Portal?

Yes. Core Competency/Ethics Core Competency credits obtained from ICF Ethics CP sessions will qualify for the required coaching ethics credits needed for your ICF credential renewal. For more information on ICF credential renewal requirements, please click here. To view our Ethics Recording Library click here.

*Please note: Any Ethics CP activities offering Resource Development credit will not count toward your Ethics requirement.

I attended a session before 2019 for the ICF Communities of Practice, why can I not see the CCE Unit on the ICF Learning Portal?

Only work done on the ICF Learning Portal will be tracked on the Learning Portal. If you attended a session before 2019 and it was a live session. The CCE Unit was emailed to you and included a certificate. Note: ICF does not hold onto records for more than six months. We will not have attendance records on file from these older sessions.

My account still shows the activity as incomplete even though I completed the activity. How do I fix that?

The incomplete/complete status refers to if you completed every piece of the activity including the evaluation which is optional. The credentialing team does not view incomplete or complete status, they only view credits earned. As long as you have successfully earned and claimed credit for an activity (unlocked and launched the white claim credit box on the activity page) the credits will be counted on your transcript. You can view your credits earned at any time by viewing your transcript and selecting ‘Credits Earned.’

How do I add CCEs that I earned outside of the Learning Portal on my transcript?

Only activities completed on the portal will be reflected on your learning portal transcript. You are responsible for keeping track of your certificates from other CCE programs that you have completed. You can upload your transcript and certificates on the ICF website when you start your renewal application. Do not upload outside certificates onto the portal, they will not be valid for your renewal if you do not attach them to your renewal application separately.
