Team and Work Group Coaching Community of Practice - Putting Coaching Back Into Team Coaching
Individual coaching has become widely adopted in organizations across the globe. It has made a significant contribution to creating more authentic and self-aware leaders who have made a shift from a command and control style of leadership to a style more focused on empowerment. However, the impact we can have as coaches working with individual leaders is limited. Today’s organizations are structured as an interconnected web of teams and many team leaders flounder in maximizing their team’s potential. Very few leaders have been trained to lead teams and many simply reenact the team-leadership that has previously been role-modeled to them. The Team and Work Group Coaching Community of Practice is joined by Georgina Woudstra, MCC, and Allard de Jong as they look at putting coaching back into team coaching and how to be a team coach, engaging the community in a rich exploration into team coaching competencies.
