Peter is a leading consultant, coach, writer and researcher in organizational strategy, leadership, culture change, coaching and team and board development. He is a professor of leadership at Henley Business School, president of the Association of Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS), co-founder and emeritus chairman of Bath Consultancy Group, and chairman of Renewal Associates.

Peter has worked with leading organizations around the globe, co-designing and facilitating strategy reviews as well as major change and organizational transformation projects. He has coached a number of boards and senior executive teams, enabling them to develop their vision, values, collective leadership and strategy for the future, in a wide range of large and small commercial companies, government departments, professional organizations and charities. He has also coached a wide range of chairmen, CEOs and c-suite executives.
He is the author of many books and papers in the fields of coaching, leadership and change, including Leadership Team Coaching: Developing Collective Transformational Leadership (Kogan Page, 2011), Creating a Coaching Culture (McGraw-Hill/Open University Press, 2012) and The Wise Fool’s Guide to Leadership (O Books, 2005). He is also the editor of Leadership Team Coaching in Practice: Developing High-performing Teams (Kogan Page, 2014) and co-author, with Nick Smith, of Coaching, Mentoring and Organizational Consultancy: Supervision, Skills and Development (2nd ed., McGraw-Hill/Open University Press, 2013).
Peter is on the faculty of Bath Consultancy Group’s coaching supervision certificate program and the Academy of Executive Coaching’s systemic team coaching training program. He chairs three other company boards and is a trustee director of several charities.
