Ethics Community of Practice - The Ethics of Psychology in Coaching

Coaching will always use psychology since it is germane to understanding the human experience. The American Psychological Association defines psychology as “The scientific study of the behavior of individuals and their mental processes.”  Ethical coaches should be aware of distinctions which affect our coaching conversations.

Join the Coaching Ethics Community of Practice with presenter Kees de Vries, PCC who brings a refreshing European perspective to this discussion.

Topics covered in this presentation include:

  • Understanding and using power in the relationship with the client (power over, power with, power within, power through)
  • Examining why coaches are so often afraid of psychology in coaching
  • Distinguishing between psychology and culture in coaching
